We are looking for a Mechatronics Technician*for the assembly and commissioning of scientific measurement systems to strengthen our team.

Do you enjoy precise, hands-on technical work and have a strong commitment to quality? At Freiberg Instruments, you will assemble highly specialized measurement devices and custom-built systems, integrate complex assemblies, and support commissioning and functional testing. You can expect a varied role at the interface of mechanics, electronics, and advanced high-tech systems.

Location: Freiberg, Saxony, Germany
Start date: As soon as possible or by arrangement
Work model: On-site
Employment type: Full-time or part-time

Your responsibilities

  • Independently assemble measurement devices and custom-built machines based on CAD drawings and technical documentation

  • Assemble modules and integrate mechanical and electronic components

  • Route and connect simple electrical components and sensor systems

  • Adjust and fine-tune sensors and mechanical assemblies

  • Support commissioning and functional tests

  • Work closely with design and development teams on new devices and prototypes

  • Contribute to the optimization of assemblies and installation processes

Your profile

  • Completed apprenticeship, for example as a precision mechanic, industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, or tool mechanic

  • Several years of hands-on experience in precision equipment or machine construction

  • Confident in working with technical drawings and CAD documentation

  • Ideally, experience in assembling complex modules or custom-built machines

  • Basic knowledge of electrical components and sensor systems is an advantage

  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working

  • Interest in technically demanding high-tech systems
